meet the amazing founder
Let’s work together to get OUR kids together.
My name is Keona and I am the founder of The Learner Agency Project. I am a Mom, a and a former teacher. I’ll be honest with you — I didn’t always get it right as a mom, and I didn’t always get it right as a teacher either. But both experiences taught me the same lesson: our kids are capable of so much more than the system — or even we as parents — often give them credit for.
That’s when it hit me: whether at home or at school, the same truth holds — our kids don’t just need content. They need agency. And here’s the bigger truth: the education system was never built with our kids in mind. Which means we as parents and communities have a collective responsibility to step in where the system falls short.
TLAP exists to give parents practical, strengths-based tools that build kids’ confidence, initiative, and independence at home — the skills schools often skip. It’s not about perfection or doing more. It’s about helping our kids discover their voice, take ownership, and thrive in every space they walk into.
Because our kids aren’t deficits to be managed. They’re brilliance waiting to be unlocked.
xo, Keona
